New Trustees: Turning up the volume.

Have you noticed that we are on a bit of a roll?

We have rebranded, launched a slick new website and added an additional location in Taunton to our network of training hubs. With no rest for the wicked, we are diligently working away to add further locations, partners and projects to increase our impact.

Sound Vision are a motivated and ambitious team with dreams of accelerated expansion and national reach. Our vision is an inclusive society with equal chances for all. We are determined to play our part in building resilience and adding to the rich fabric of the community media sector.

Our dreams are big and to help accomplish them we have opened our doors to add strength and breadth to our passionate Board of Trustees. Following the expansion of our board we now have five incredible members providing a varied combination of life, education and business skills. The combination of long-serving and recently appointed members results in an innovative and forward-thinking, yet stable and unified board.

Meet our diverse and experienced Board of Trustees:

Phil Gibbons [Chair]
We are pleased to welcome Phil as our new Chair. With an impressive career spanning, broadcasting, media communications and training, Phil brings a wealth of experience to the Sound Vision board.

I am delighted to become a trustee and look forward to chairing the board. I have seen this fantastic charity grow from a vision to a high-impact organisation that makes a difference to people's lives.”

Phil Gibbons, Chair of Trustees

Maxine Stride
Maxine, a recent addition to the board, is a long-standing member of the Sound Vision team and a driving force behind Local Radio Day. In her professional career, she serves as UKI and Nordics Market Hive Lead at Accenture, a Fortune Global 500 company, where she has honed her skills in business and marketing strategy.

Sound Vision has had a tremendous impact on my life, and I am grateful to be an example of the charity's transformative power. My participation in an early iteration of the Sound Academy training in 2008 equipped me with skills that significantly accelerated my career growth. Having advised the charity since its inception, I am ecstatic to join such an astute and compassionate board."
